Petzl Frieno karabiner 11mm twistlock alloy offset with friction spur to provide increased friction for improved control while descending, particularly useful with two person rescues 25kN (Gate opening 15mm) N.B. Popular applications are: 10mm screw alloy offset for general use, 10mm snap alloy offset + retainer for cowstails, 10mm screw steel oval for descender friction, 10mm or 12mm screw steel offset for lifelining through, 11mm screw alloy oval for ascender/pulley arrangements. WD40 is unsuitable for lubricating karabiners and carbine hooks etc. because the residue left as it dries out tends to make the gate stick. 3 in 1 oil or a light machine oil is ideal
